(Fort Myers, FL – January 22, 2020) – Lee County’s housing market saw an increase in both Single Family, Townhouse and Condos for closed sales compared to 2018 Year End, according to the latest statistics just released by Florida Realtors®. Both Single Family and Townhouse and Condos closed sales are at their highest since 2014, with 13,790 Single Family and 6,916 Townhouse and Condos.

2019 also showed Median Sale prices at their highest since 2014, with Single Family at $258,615 and Townhouse and Condos at $192,000. Single Family Inventory is down from 2015 with Single Family showing a 4.6 Months Supply of Inventory. Townhouses and Condos also showed a decrease in Inventory compared to 2015 with a Months Supply of Inventory of 5.2.

Broken down by cities, Single Family in several cities saw an increase in sales over 2018, while others showed a decrease.

When looking at Single Family Closed Sales by Price Point, the numbers were strong for the price points of $200,000-$999,999 with an increase across all these price points .Condos and Townhouse market also saw an increase in most of the price ranges.
